“HANA” was supervised by Kensuke Yokouchi, known for his involvement in the scriptwriting and directing of “Super Kabuki II: One Piece”, which revolutionized the world of traditional Japanese Kabuki. He has written the script for the non-verbal stage of Warabi-za, a theater company with a proven track record of performing Japanese ethnic arts in 17 countries worldwide. Working together with Warabi-za, Lucky Ikeda and Eri Saiki collaborated to create an original choreography. Please come and enjoy the energy of Japanese festivals and the beauty of Japan.

Based in Semboku City, Akita Prefecture, the theater company “Warabi-za” celebrated its 75 anniversary this year. Warabi-za experienced overseas performances of Japanese folk performing arts in 17 countries, and has many achievements in Japanese original musicals, including the first musical adaptation of Studio Ghibli, and Osamu Tezuka’s works such as “Phoenix,” “Atom,” and “Buddha.”
